PSTV Alumni Gmail

PSTValumni.com has been approved by Google to beta test a new program in which Gmail will provide and manage email services for addresses under the pstvalumni.com domain. This means that we will soon be able to provide full email service for free to all interested alumni. You will be able to request an email address like whatever_you_want@pstvalumni.com but you'll be able to take advantage of the vast disk space and innovative features provided by Gmail, including both webmail and POP3 (desktop application) access. This service can be especially useful for graduating seniors needing a more professional-friendly email address for their resumes.

I have always wanted to provide email addresses to PSTV alumni, and we had the capability, but disk space was the major concern. If not maintained regularly, the web server's resources could quickly fill up. That is not a concern with Gmail because Google will provide 2 gigs of disk space for each and every email address, putting no undo stress on the PSTV Alumni website.
